The SLIC Vision Statement

As the nature and adoption of information technology in the learning environment changes, instructional technology professionals and faculty must work collaboratively to ensure that learning management systems (LMS’s) improve the quality of teaching and learning, contain or reduce rising costs, and provide greater access to higher education. Institutions of higher education will need to use learning-centered technologies to make instruction more convenient, accessible, and effective.

To address these needs, the Strategic LMS Implementation Committee (SLIC) will provide leadership and coordination for the implementation of NC State’s next generation LMS. SLIC will also coordinate assessment, documentation, and collaboration efforts surrounding LMS activities to ensure that both present and future implementations meet the needs of all of our stakeholders.
